Thoughtful Extras to Include with your Meal
Sometimes you want to take more than a meal to show how much you care. Here are some ideas for thoughtful extras* you can give to encourage your loved ones. I will often pick up these things when I see them on sale so I have them on hand as needs arise.

Thoughtful Extras for a New Mom:
Diapers and wipes
Pampering gifts:
- Bubble bath
- Lotion
- Your favorite candle
- This easy DIY 2-ingredient hand scrub
If the family has older children who need to be occupied during frequent feedings:
- Sidewalk chalk
- A small puzzle
- Playdoh
- Coloring books and crayons
- Books
Nursing Time Box. This can include gently used toys and books (and don't miss the sweet poem!)

Thoughtful Extras for Someone Battling Cancer:
Fuzzy socks or hat
Warm blanket or heating pad
Neck pillow
A framed picture
A journal
Free, printable coloring pages and sharpies, colored pencils, or markers

Thoughtful extras for those dealing with illness, a hard diagnosis, or a death in the family:
Notecards and stamps
Treats for a family pet
Essentials so they don't need to run out to the store like:
- Paper towels
- Toilet paper
- Dish detergent
- Paper plates, plastic silverware, and solo cups
- Different size ziplock bags
- Tissues
- Garbage bags
