The Meals Have Been Delivered!

Last Friday, 90 tasty, nutritious meals (including Mac and Cheese, Chicken Stir Fry and Meatloaf) left Harrisonburg, Virginia on their way to the faculty and staff at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. Members of the TakeThemAMeal team joined A Bowl of Good staff to pack up the boxes and send off the drivers. Here are some photos from the day....

The boxes were labeled and ready to be packed.

The frozen meals were placed in the boxes with lots of dry ice to keep them cool on the long drive. Everyone pitched in to help.

The boxes included a special card with your personal notes printed inside.

We packed up the car and off they went!

This project required a leap of faith....

But you made it happen!

We cannot thank you enough for your support. It has been so inspiring to witness your generosity. Over 80 people from across the country donated to this effort! Together, we were able to remember and encourage the Newtown community. Their gratitude has deepened our conviction that continuing care is just as important as an immediate response. And it's made us excited about rallying the TakeThemAMeal community behind future efforts to show that Love Never Stops!
