New Book & Meal Giveaway! 🎉
When we created, we heard from our earliest contacts that we were making meal scheduling easier than ever, but they also requested a way to coordinate one-day meals like potlucks. In response, we created (which is now just as popular as When I'm asked how I came up with the idea for, my honest answer is that I didn't. The idea came from the community.
Sarah Beckman similarly admits that the idea for her second book came from the readers of her first publication. As she spoke to readers about Alongside, they were appreciative of Sarah's suggestions about how to care for others in need, but they also wanted to know how to face their own trials. Sarah took these questions to heart and the result is her new book, Hope in the Hard Places.
Sarah understands that each of our lives include trials. She has faced them in her own life. Cancer, chronic illness, loss of a loved one, divorce, depression, caring for aging parents, and other painful events can cause us to feel hopeless and helpless. Throughout her new book, Sarah takes you by the hand and suggests ways to navigate life's trials with hope instead of desperation.
Here's what you'll find in the book:
  • effective and powerful ways to get through the pain with biblical truths and principles
  • insight from others who have experienced all manner of trials
  • practical strategies and checklists you can apply today
I've known Sarah's book was on the way since last summer, and I'm thrilled to share it with you today. In celebration, we'd like to do a giveaway!
If you win, you will receive:
  • A copy of Hope in the Hard Places for yourself
  • A copy of Hope in the Hard Places to give to a friend
  • A gift card for any meal from the store (to be shipped to you or a friend - $75 value)
To enter, click here to email me letting me know you'd like to "Enter the Giveaway". We'll select two winners randomly on Tuesday, March 19 at 7 pm EST. This giveaway is for U.S. residents only.
I often write about how to care well for others, but caring for ourselves is important, too. Hope in the Hard Places will help you accept care from others while developing a plan to face your hardship with insight, dignity, and certainty.
