Thank you for signing up to provide a meal at either one or both of our Houses. After a long day at the hospital our families look forward to a hot meal waiting for them. By coming into one of our Houses and cooking a meal for our families you can help relieve one more burden that our families have.

Signing Up:
If you're registering as a group (e.g., work or church group), please enter your group's name in the "First Name" field and the main contact person's name in the "Last Name" field. This will ensure that your entire group receives the appropriate credit, not just a single individual.
Meal Preparation:
Please bring ingredients to prepare a meal for 35 people. If you are preparing a meal for both houses, please bring enough for 70 people.
*Please note that if you are serving meals at both houses, we ask that you prepare the meal at RMH near Blank Children's Hospital and then deliver it to Our House inside of MercyOne.
Sign-In:
-Upon arrival, please sign in using Lobby Guard. Have your ID with you. If you encounter any issues, our house manager on duty will assist you.
Equipment and Ingredients:
-While we provide all necessary tools and equipment on-site, we ask that you bring all the required ingredients.
House Options:
-You have the option to provide a meal at one or both of our Houses. If you plan to prepare meals at both locations, please ensure you fill out your

-You can park in our parking lot; however, we ask that you save the spots near the house for our families.
-If you need help loading ingredients, please let of our staff know and we can provide wagons/carts to help you load the ingredients.

-Located on the 4th floor in the Main Tower. You can enter through the main tower entrance
-There are lots of parking spots near the Main Tower entrance. If you need help loading ingredients, please call the house (515-724-0700) and someone can meet you down by the main entrance, and staff can help you load the ingredients.

Due to the size of our kitchen, we can accommodate groups of up to ten (10) volunteers. If your group exceeds this number, please contact Maggie at maggie@rmhdesmoines.org to make special arrangements.

We ask that all volunteers be at least 10 years old.
How many people do I need to cook for?

Yes, if you do not feel comfortable volunteering at the house or are not able to come in and make a meal, you can order a catered meal and have it delivered.
Some great options: Jimmy Johns, Subway, Noodles & Co., Chinese food, KFC, HyVee Kitchen, BBQ, Pizza Hut, etc.

You can also give a gift card or a monetary donation to help with the cost of food.
