Notes from Catherine Scheffler:
Please bring your cooked meal (or take out) to our Family Promise Guest Center @ 109 Commercial Circle, Conroe, Texas 77304, by 5:30pm, if possible. You'll ring the doorbell and be let in by a staff member. The families arrive between 5:30-6:00pm. We are a warming (not a cooking) kitchen, which is why an already-cooked meal is requested. You are welcome to stay and eat/visit with the families if you're able - fellowship is always a good thing! However, that is not a requirement when bringing a meal. Please limit the number of volunteers in-person to 6 people - the kitchen is not a big space!
***If you're bringing or dropping off a meal on a holiday, we'll make special arrangements for you to gain entry to the building using a temporary door code. If that code doesn't work, text/call Tiffany Hankerson at 936-442-0948 OR Marilyn Kasmiersky at 936-442-0542 to gain entry to the building.
We currently have 4 moms and 5 children ages 1, 1, 4, 6, and 9 years old in the program. BE SURE TO CHECK THIS LINK AGAIN AS YOU GET CLOSER TO YOUR MEAL DATE, AS THE FAMILY COUNT CAN CHANGE FROM WEEK TO WEEK!
SUGGESTIONS *sloppy joes; tacos; pasta; fried chicken/chicken tenders, or breakfast for dinner (pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon)
FAVORITE TO-GO MEALS *McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, Kentucky Fried Chicken, BBQ, Raising Canes, Whataburger, Chipotle, Pizza
NOTE: Plates, silverware, napkins and cups are all provided at the Guest Center. It is not necessary to bring drinks; but if you did want to bring something, we recommend sweet tea, lemonade, and/or juice boxes (like Capri Sun).
Volunteers are the "secret ingredient" that makes Family Promise work, and we really appreciate you providing a meal for our families!
