Notes from SAM25 Staff:
Thank you for bringing a meal to SAM's House Emergency Shelter! You are greatly appreciated by SAM25, staff, volunteers and especially shelter guests.
Please bring your meal to SAM25 at 105 E Richmond Street, Shawano at 6:45pm. Please use the entrance on the Richmond St side of the building (Yellow Door).
We encourage you to stay and help serve your meal and help clean up.
Please make enough food to feed the shelter guests (average of 18 shelter guests plus the staff person and volunteer). It is suggested that you call the shelter the evening before your meal (715-851-7252) to get an updated count for meals and discuss any procedures with staff.
The shelter does have a stove/oven, but crock pots are still recommended. Dishes and silverware are available to use as well. We encourage you to bring nutritious meals and beverages (gallons of white and/or chocolate milk are much appreciated!). Please bring your food warm and ready to serve.
We ask that you avoid foods with peanuts and shellfish as guests may have these more common food allergies.
Please remember to maintain the confidentiality of the shelter guests as it is the policy of SAM25 and SAM's House. Thank you for your generosity!
SAM's House needs volunteers to help staff our intake, overnight and morning shifts. Any amount of time would be appreciated. If you are interested/able, talk to our shelter staff, call the shelter at 715-851-7252, or go to www.sam25.org and fill out an online application.
