GROCERIES:
We need help with groceries for breakfast items, fresh fruit, juice and snacks. If you are interested and able to shop for us occasionally, please contact Catherine Kinabrew at ckinabrew@hotelhope.org or 504-821-7773 for more information or to sign up.
CENSUS:
In keeping with the nature of our program, the number of meals we request will change at least weekly (see below). The meal coordinator sends out a weekly email to the volunteers for the coming week, and the front desk volunteer will typically contact each meal volunteer on the day before the scheduled meal.
PARKING:
Parking is available at the front and side of Hotel Hope. Ring the bell when you arrive; the front desk volunteer will accept your meal donation at the door or show you to Room 106 if you plan to serve the meal. Please note that everyone who enters Hotel Hope must have a temperature taken before entry and wear a mask.
MEAL SIGN UP:
Scroll down to your preferred date. Click on the purple "Take" button.
1) If you are prepared to offer meals for up to 30 people, sign up in both Volunteer #1 and Volunteer #2 spaces for your desired day.
2) If you are prepared to offer meals for up to 15 people, sign up for one slot. Please take the Volunteer #1 space first. Remember, if the #2 line is open, we still need meals!!
3) There is NO need to coordinate meals between two volunteers on the same day!
4) Please provide a "day of delivery" telephone number and an email address. These will ONLY be available to staff; other volunteers cannot see your contact information. If you provide an email address, you will receive a reminder email 1 day before your scheduled delivery.
SPECIAL NOTE: We need food for our families! However, IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, please do not send a home cooked meal and advise the front desk at 504-821-7773 ASAP.
ALLERGY/SPECIAL REQUESTS: We have no clients with allergies at this time. But we have HUNGRY BOYS! They eat a lot!

1) PLATED DELIVERY OPTION:
Delivery time 4:30pm to 5:15pm. Please deliver the requested number of meals pre-plated. Hotel Hope can provide disposable plates. Please call the front desk volunteer at 504-821-7773 to tell them how many you wish to pick up. There is no need to label or group plates by room. Guests will pick up their meals at the front desk. Each room has a microwave.
2) CATERING PAN/CROCK POT OPTION: If you are able to be present from 5:45pm to approximately 7:15pm, we invite you to bring the meal in large catering pans, pots or crock pots. At the time of the evening meal, we only have the front desk volunteers who cannot stay in the serving area, so we can only offer this option to volunteers who can stay to set up, serve and store leftovers. Detailed meal service instructions will be posted in Room 106 where the meals are served. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the moms and children whom you so generously serve!

Our census for May 27 - Jun 3, 2023 is 8 families. Please prepare 21 plates and deliver to the front desk. Note that we may accept new families in the coming week and will contact you about the need for any additional meals.
